Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yutong Bus”) is a large-scale modern manufacturing company specialized in the R&D, manufacturing and sales of bus products. It has three production plants of whole vehicle that are all located in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China. Among them, the Yutong Industrial Park, covering an area of 1.2 million square meters, and the new energy plant, covering an area of 1.33 million square meters, have an annual production capacity of 30,000 units respectively. Yutong Bus was listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 (Stock code: 600066), becoming the first listed company in China’s bus industry. In 2020, it delivered 41,756 buses and coaches. In the same year, 16,461 units of new energy buses were delivered. As of the end of 2020, Yutong has totally exported more than 75,000 units, and the sales volume of large and medium-sized buses has taken the leading position in the world for many consecutive years.
Up to now, Yutong has formed a complete 5m-18m product lineup, covering various segment markets.
Yutong has realized a sizable sales volume in over 30 countries and regions such as France, UK, Australia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, China Macau, China Taiwan and so on with a market share of over 35% in China and over 15% in the world. In the main target markets, Yutong has become one of the world’s major bus and coach suppliers.
In the overseas markets, Yutong has set up seven spare parts warehouses in UAE, Russia, Panama, etc., and seven spare parts consignment warehouses in Pakistan, Nigeria, Singapore, China Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, etc. In addition, Yutong has over 200 chartered service stations and over 320 authorized service outlets, which can provide high quality services for customers.
So far, Yutong has launched a series of new energy products such as hybrid, full electric and fuel cell buses. Yutong's self-developed new energy bus power system has become the mainstream powertrain in the industry, forming the product portfolio of 6-18m new energy buses featuring international competitiveness. Meanwhile, with the integrated intelligent charging system, telematics, CVIS and intelligent assisted driving technology, the operational efficiency of the Route 71 medium-capacity transit system in Shanghai has been greatly improved compared to that of the conventional routes. Up to now, Yutong has delivered more than 130,000 new energy vehicles in over 380 cities throughout the country.
In 2004, Yutong was granted the China Top Brand by the state as the benchmark of China’s bus industry. In 2005, it was again awarded the Chinese Well-known Trademark by the state. In 2006, the company obtained the Certificate for the Exemption of Import and Export Commodities from Inspection. From 2010 to the present, Yutong has been granted a number of BAAV awards for many years, such as Coach Builder of the Year, Bus Innovation Award, Coach Safety Award, Bus Environment Award, Coach of the Year, etc. In 2013, Yutong was awarded the National Technology Innovation Model Enterprise by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance. In 2014, Yutong was granted the Quality Benchmark for Industrial Enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and was recognized as Chinese Well-known Trademark by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. In 2015, Yutong was awarded the 100 Most Respected Listed Companies in China by the China Association of Listed Companies. On January 8, 2016, Yutong won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award at the National Science and Technology Awards Conference with the Energy-saving and New Energy Bus Key Technology Research & Development and Industrialization project. In 2018, Yutong was awarded the highest award in China's industrial field approved by the State Council at the 5th China Industrial Awards Conference for its excellent performance and outstanding contribution in the industry. In 2018, Yutong appeared in the list of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises 2018, holding the 446th position, and it also ranked 222 in Fortune 500. In the Busworld Brussels 2019, Yutong was granted three awards, namely Design Label of U12, Design Label of T13 and Ecology Label of ICE12,In 2019, at Busworld, Yutong's U12, T13, and ICE12 high-end intelligent tour buses won three awards in design and environmental protection in one fell swoop. In 2020, they won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award again, becoming the only one in the industry Enterprises that have won the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
