At the Suzzara plant in Mantua, Italy, Iveco celebrated the rolling off of the 1.8 millionth Daily. The Suzzara plant is the production base of Iveco's iconic product Daily. It has an excellent reputation in the manufacture of light commercial vehicles and has carried a spirit of glory and continuous innovation since its creation. Daily, a pioneering commercial vehicle, inherits its DNA while introducing many groundbreaking innovations and industry firsts. With its outstanding versatility, it perfectly meets the specific requirements of customers and can be adapted to any scenario and mission needs. With these unique advantages, Daily has achieved lasting success in the market, leading the high payload segment with a 7-ton model and becoming a benchmark in the field of natural gas light commercial vehicles. Today, Daily further consolidates its position as a leader in sustainable transportation solutions by fully electrifying its product line.
The 1.8 millionth vehicle to roll off the production line is the new eDaily, the electric twin of the iconic Daily, assembled in Suzzara and electrified in Brescia.

Fulvio Carillo, Iveco Suzzara Plant Manager, said: “This milestone achievement bears witness to the success of our Daily, a light commercial vehicle that has been produced in our Suzzara plant for more than 45 years. This enduring success highlights the continued improvement in the market performance of light commercial vehicles, setting new standards in innovation. Its strength lies in its versatility and efficiency, qualities that have been repeatedly recognized throughout its history. We are very proud of this achievement, as the Daily has won over customers with its outstanding versatility, durability and unique performance.”

Despite the solid market performance of the Daily, Iveco continues to introduce innovations in on-board technology and cabin features, and expands its service portfolio with advanced connectivity features, making the Daily the ideal partner for every customer, covering every task. Since 2007, the plant has been committed to a specific production system with zero failures, zero waste and zero accidents. It involves a continuous development process with a focus on involving every operator in the production process.

The 1.8 millionth Daily has been delivered to Tesco, the UK's largest supermarket, as part of a fleet of 571 electric delivery vehicles deployed by the chain.

Tesco has been using Iveco Daily vehicles in its delivery fleet since 2010. The vehicles are ideal for deliveries in urban environments, with a best-in-class turning radius and easy maneuvering. The company chose the Iveco eDaily as part of its green delivery fleet to offer zero-emission deliveries to customers through its innovative modular battery setup. Its motor efficiently delivers powerful performance with 140kW and 400Nm of torque. 80kW fast charging capability can add 62 miles of range in 30 minutes, while the 22kW onboard charger enables Tesco to maximize charging with AC chargers in local stores.
