BYD High-Temperature Testing for New Energy Commercial Vehicles Completed

September 20,2023

September 20, 2023, Xinjiang, China, Starting from June this year, BYD Commercial Vehicles, with a focus on global and comprehensive market deployment, gathered 18 newly developed vehicle models, including logistics trucks, tractor-trailers, concrete mixers, dump trucks, buses, tourist buses, and school buses, and embarked on the largest-scale high-temperature and arid hot weather testing for commercial vehicles in China.
As a leader in the field of new energy vehicles, BYD is at the forefront of China and the world in the commercial vehicle sector as well. In 2017, BYD pioneered "high temperature, high cold, high altitude" testing for new energy commercial vehicles, subjecting each vehicle to comprehensive quality evaluation in extreme climate conditions, ensuring safe and green travel.

Actual test data indicates that the surface temperature in Turpan, China reached nearly 80°C. In such harsh conditions, BYD Commercial Vehicle engineers, with a large fleet of vehicles, focused on real-world operating conditions and the environment. They used high-temperature and extremely hot conditions to test various vehicle performance and reliability boundaries. Over 100 detailed test items were conducted, including power battery thermal management, high-temperature charging efficiency, rapid air conditioning cooling capability, extreme driving range, vehicle energy management, and more, through reliability testing, performance testing, and whole-vehicle high-temperature matching testing.

Every BYD new energy commercial vehicle undergoes extreme testing, forging high-quality products through a complete research and development system, leading core technologies, and stringent quality control. They are ready to face market scrutiny with their outstanding product performance, delivering green energy to the world.
