Dongfeng Overseas Division Achieves Historic Record Sales in July

August 8, 2023, China, On July 31st, Dongfeng Motor Corporation's Overseas Division held a monthly closing ceremony to celebrate breaking its single-month sales record in July.
From January to July 2023, the company's overseas export business maintained a leading growth rate in the industry, with sales increasing by 38% year-on-year. Both sales and profits fully met their targets. Notably, the Overseas Division achieved outstanding sales performance in July, selling nearly 2,000 units in a single month, a remarkable 117% increase compared to the previous year. This accomplishment set a new record for monthly sales since the establishment of Dongfeng Motor Corporation's Overseas Division.
Facing intense market competition, the Overseas Division continued to advance its network construction, optimizing existing dealer networks, and rapidly entering untapped markets. Since 2022, Dongfeng Motor Corporation has leveraged the advantage of a comprehensive product lineup and precise market insights, enabling the establishment of dealer networks in over 60 major countries. Particularly impressive is the transformation of North America, Mexico, from an untapped market to a stable, long-term growth market. In the first half of 2023, orders exceeded one thousand units, making it the fastest-growing Chinese independent automaker in Mexico.
The development of the Overseas Division in 2023 relies on continuously improving product strength. The product planning team develops products based on market demand and company strategy, steadily enhancing the five major product lines, especially the light, medium, and small truck platforms, some of which are already in mass production. Balancing development efforts across various regions, a particular focus is placed on developing products for the Russian and Western Asian markets, while also considering new projects in other regions. This collective effort contributes to the robust competitiveness of Dongfeng's light-duty vehicles in the international market.
