September 22, 2023, Sweden, On September 14th-15th, Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Weichai Group and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, led a delegation to visit Scania Commercial Vehicles Group and MAN Group in Stockholm, Sweden, and Munich, Germany. He held in-depth discussions with Christian Levin, Chairman and CEO of Traton Group, and President and CEO of Scania Commercial Vehicles Group.
Christian Levin said, "In May of this year, we visited China National Heavy Duty Truck and Weichai Group, which gave Scania and MAN Group a completely new understanding of Chinese commercial vehicle companies. Both of our companies have a complete industrial chain layout for commercial vehicles, and we hope to deepen our exchanges and cooperation to achieve win-win development."
Tan Xuguang stated, "Scania has significant influence in the global heavy truck industry, with profound technological and brand accumulation. We have come to Scania to learn and gain insights! Especially considering that MAN Group under the Traton Group, which is part of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, has had a long-term cooperation relationship with China National Heavy Duty Truck, we are willing to expand cooperation to jointly provide the most satisfactory products to global customers."
During the visit, Tan Xuguang and Christian Levin also had in-depth discussions about the development of the Chinese market, international markets in the coming years, and the future technological developments in the commercial vehicle industry. They expressed their hopes to expand cooperation with Scania in traditional areas and new energy businesses to jointly promote the development of the global commercial vehicle industry.
