Sinotruk Produces Its 3,000th Heavy-Duty Truck in Uzbekistan

September 15, 2023, Samarkand, Uzbekistan, On the morning of September 6th, a grand ceremony was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to mark the production of the 3,000th heavy duty truck at the joint venture factory between China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Sinotruk) and a local partner in Uzbekistan.
During his speech, Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Sinotruk, introduced the operational situation of the joint venture factory and expressed the intention to deepen cooperation with local partners to contribute to the success of the Belt and Road Initiative.
In the afternoon of September 6th, Sinotruk and Uzbekistan Auto Company signed an agreement in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, officially launching a localization project for new energy buses.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by several officials, including Lin Wu, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Zhang Haibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General, Tan Xuguang, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Sinotruk, Rustam Kuchkarov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and Rokickov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UZ-AUTO.
During the ceremony, Liu Wei, Deputy General Manager of CNHTC, and Mukhamudjanov, General Manager of the joint venture company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
