August 16, 2023, Tibet, China, Recently, at the construction site of the Duoji Tunnel project on the Ya'an-Linzhi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, located at an altitude of 4,000 meters on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, multiple units of Weichai's Baudouin 6M33 power generation products were delivered to the customer and have been operating steadily, providing reliable power for railway construction. The construction of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway is faced with immense challenges due to the significant variation in altitude, harsh natural environment, and difficult terrain. These factors put the reliability of construction equipment to the test, particularly in the thin oxygen environment of the plateau, where engines are prone to experience power drop due to "high altitude sickness."
