XCMG "King of Mines" Supports Gold Mine Development in Laos

July 20, 2023, Laos, Fifteen XCMG excavators are ready to depart for the frontline of the Phu Bia gold mine in Laos, contributing to Sino-Lao friendship and economic development.
Laos is rich in mineral resources with significant reserves of gold, silver, copper, iron, potash, bauxite, lead, zinc, and other minerals. The Phu Bia copper-gold exploration and development project is the third gold mining site invested by Phu Bia Mining in Laos. The mine has confirmed reserves of one million ounces of gold and five million ounces of silver, with a total investment of approximately 150 million US dollars.
The XCMG excavators participating in this project include three XE490DK, six 370CA, and six XE215C models. These excavators have won customer recognition for their high performance.
The XE490DK adopts a Cummins engine with customized proprietary power characteristics, delivering low-speed high torque, strong power, fuel economy, and high fuel efficiency through efficient HPI fuel injection technology. It features a large-diameter main valve with outstanding advantages such as high reliability, low pressure loss, and high flow distribution efficiency, resulting in smoother compound actions and better maneuverability.
The project leader of the Phu Bia gold mine in Laos stated, "Laos has abundant mineral resources, but its economy is currently mainly based on agriculture and light industry. It greatly needs excellent heavy machinery enterprises like XCMG to provide support for mining equipment. XCMG's equipment entering the Phu Bia gold mine in bulk is a good start, and we look forward to deepening cooperation between Phu Bia Mining and XCMG to build a better future."
As a key region of the "Belt and Road Initiative" in Southeast Asia, XCMG excavators have seen a continuous increase in sales and exports in the region in recent years, gaining recognition from more and more local customers and steadily improving market share and brand influence.
