June 7, 2022, Shanxi, China, Recently, XCMG Automobile won the bid for new energy heavy truck orders from Shanxi Iron and Steel Construction Group, and the first batch of electric dump trucks have been successfully delivered, which will soon become the backbone of short barge transportation of scrap, slag and ores in steel mills.
 

The electric dump truck delivered this time uses a high-energy-density lithium iron phosphate battery, and is equipped with a green-controlled high-power motor with a maximum output power of 405kw.

In order to deeply tap the commercialization potential of the battery swap model, XCMG built the first domestic demonstration project of urban muck truck battery swap operation in Xuzhou. Subsequently, a number of demonstration projects were launched in Tangshan, Handan, Xingtai, Cangzhou, Qinhuangdao, Zhengzhou, Shangqiu, Linyi, Wuhan, Chengdu, Nantong, Nanjing, Urumqi and other places, and nearly 4,000 unit XCMG electric heavy-duty trucks were operated in steel mills, docks, urban construction, etc.
