April 2, 2022, Guangxi, China, On March 30, Yuchai obtained China's first UN R49.07 Euro VI E-stage emission certificate, marking that Yuchai's engine technology has reached the most advanced level in the world, and that it has obtained a pass to enter the leading European and American markets, which will further promote the entire industry to achieve the "dual carbon" goal. The certificate was awarded by TÜV Rheinland Greater China, an international independent third-party testing, inspection and certification authority.

      

The Euro VI emission regulation for vehicle engines is a pollutant emission control standard implemented in Europe for on-road internal combustion engines, and is currently one of the most stringent emission regulations in the world.

Yuchai S04220-61 series engine, which has obtained the first Euro VI E certificate in China, is the latest upgraded version of the power of the S series of Yuchai's mid-engine products.

The fuel economy of the engine has been further improved. After actual use comparison, it is found that even if the emission control standard is improved, it still saves 2L/100km of fuel compared with the engine of the same displacement.

Over the years, Yuchai has been committed to the layout and development of the global market. In the first quarter of 2022, Yuchai's engine exports increased by 50% year-on-year. The S04 series models are the first to pass the Euro VI E certification, marking another solid step in Yuchai's internationalization strategy.
